UNUSED CARBIDE TOOLING

Sell Unused Carbide Tooling Before It Becomes Scrap.

New, unused and new-old-stock carbide should not automatically be valued like mixed scrap. Ironcrest reviews packaged inserts, drills, end mills and other tooling by manufacturer, part number, quantity and condition to identify potential resale value first.

MATERIALS WE REVIEW

What to include in your submission

  • New and unused carbide inserts
  • Packaged indexable inserts
  • Solid carbide drills and end mills
  • New-old-stock cutting tools
  • Surplus tooling from crib cleanouts
  • Mixed unused and lightly used carbide inventories

Start with photos, not paperwork.

For an initial review, send clear overall photos plus close-ups of manufacturer labels, part numbers or nameplates when available. Include approximate quantity, city/state, condition and your preferred timing.

Preserve value: Keep identifiable equipment and unused material intact until it has been reviewed. Cutting, mixing or removing labels can make resale evaluation harder.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you send the inventory

Should I remove inserts from their boxes?

No. Keep original packaging, labels and part numbers intact whenever possible. Packaging can make evaluation much easier.

What photos should I send?

Send overall drawer or cabinet photos plus close-ups of labels, part numbers, manufacturer names and quantities.

Can you review a large mixed tooling inventory?

Yes. A broad inventory can be reviewed from organized photos and a basic count before deciding whether a detailed catalog is worthwhile.

HAVE MATERIAL READY NOW?

Send the photos while the inventory is still intact.
