The deal, in plain language
Ironcrest Industrial Surplus buys scrap metal and industrial surplus from sellers — including tungsten carbide tooling and scrap, copper wire and cable, brass, bronze, electrical equipment, and plant-closing assets. These terms cover every purchase we make, whether you contact us through this website, by phone, by text, or in person.
Quotes
Send photos of your material and we will price it the same day. A photo quote is our good-faith estimate based on what we can see. The final price is confirmed when we inspect and weigh the material in person, because grade, condition, and attachments can change what a pile is worth.
Pricing
We do not publish per-pound prices. Every price is quoted per transaction and depends on the material, grade, quantity, condition, and current market conditions. A quote is good for the day it is given unless we agree otherwise — metal markets move daily.
You must own what you sell
By selling to us, you confirm the material is yours to sell or you are authorized to sell it on the owner's behalf. We do not buy stolen material, and we will ask for identification where the law requires it. If there is any doubt about ownership, we will not complete the purchase.
Payment
Payment terms are agreed before pickup or drop-off. We pay within 24–48 hours for qualifying loads. Larger or specialized lots may be paid by check or wire — we will tell you exactly how and when you will be paid before the material changes hands.
Pickup and drop-off
Same-day pickup is available in the Chicago area. Drop-offs are always welcome — bring your material to us at 5005 Newport Dr., Rolling Meadows, IL. For larger loads outside Chicago, we travel nationwide for the right lot and will confirm timing when we quote.
