Partial reels are the main part of our business. Here is exactly what we buy, how quoting works, and how to get paid — straightforward, no games.
Jobs end with wire left on the reel — half a reel of 12 AWG THHN, the remainder of a feeder pull, a pallet of cutoffs. That leftover is exactly what we buy. Partial reels, full reels, coils, and cutoffs: at any fill level, in common types. If it is copper wire with a known type and gauge, we want to see it. Read your reel markings or just photograph them — we decode them for you.
One — photograph it. Reel markings, a cut end or two, and the overall lot. Two — send it. Email photos to [email protected] or use the quote form. Three — get a straight answer. We identify the wire, grade it, and put the quote in writing. Questions first? Call or text 312-880-8174.
We are based in the Chicago area — local sellers get straightforward, in-person transactions. And we buy wire nationwide: photographed lots ship or get picked up wherever the economics work. One partial reel or a warehouse of them — the process is the same: photos, a straight quote, a done deal.
Photograph what you have — the wire, any jacket markings, and the overall quantity — and send it to Ironcrest for today’s offer. We buy nationally and coordinate pickup from your site.

Yes — partial reels are the main part of our business. Any fill level, any common type: THHN, feeders, building wire, tray cable. Photograph the reel markings and the remaining wire and send them for a quote.
Absolutely. Contractor and electrician leftovers — pull-offs, cutoffs, panel-upgrade remnants — are a core part of what we buy. Sort by type if you can; if not, photograph it and we will sort it out together.

No. We buy wire insulated or stripped — whichever suits you. If you strip, heavy wire grades higher; if you would rather skip the labor, sell it insulated. Either way is a real quote.
Yes — we buy nationwide. Local Chicago-area sellers can meet in person; everyone else photographs the lot and we work out the logistics that make sense for the quantity.
The wire type and gauge (from the reel or jacket markings), how much is left, and whether it is insulated or stripped. Three photos — markings, cut end, overall lot — usually answer all of it.
Partial reels, contractor lots, demolition and plant-closure wire — photographed, graded honestly, quoted in writing. Call or text 312-880-8174 or send your photos today.
